I'm a new member and I hope you can help me!
I have a iPod 3G, A1318, 32GB I recently purchased 'as-is'.
The problem is that it's FORMATTED in "DCF"! Nothing I've tried allows me to reformat this iPod/drive.
The only way I can 'see' this iPod is with Windows 10 (64 bit) 'File Explorer'. It shows a 32GB drive, but it also shows it's FORMATTED with DCF with NO apparent operating system or folders ~ so 32GB appears to be free. A right-click on that drive offers no option to format/reformat.
Interesting that traditional methods to reset this iPod and access iTunes to restore do not work?
I should also add that the iPod screen is 'white' and that is understandable with no Apple Operating System.
I CAN access and record to this iPod with COPYTRANS, but the only way to play the recordings is with COPYTRANS.

I have tried Windows Partition Manager, Paragon Partition Manager, EASUS Data Recovery Pro, Hard Drive Inspector Pro and EASUS Partition Master Technician. I also tried CopyTrans Doctor and Acronis Disk Director Suite, but none of these programs even "see" the iPod!
I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer and I would love to have this iPod back in service.
