iTunes 7

I'm running windows XP and iTunes 7 which until recently has worked very well. However now when I load a CD, iTunes displays all tracks out of numerical order and I don't seem to find a way of altering it. There is a way of altering all of the other columns but nothing that I can see that will alter the track number order. I feel sure that I have missed something very simple., please could someone point me in the right direction.
