Hi,
THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE, I am a total newb at this, hence why I've had my ipod classic for 6+ years but never organized it.
I can't stand itunes because it's so unintuitive to me. Therefore I'm currently using Floola.
I have close to 6000 items on my ipod, including highly compressed vs uncompressed music, different genres (classical, jazz, rock, pop, international, etc) and other (guided meditation).
I am trying to organize these files into playlists. The impetus for this is the fact that I can now play/manipulate my ipod through my new car! How awesome to listen to your own stuff instead of being held captive to the radio! But putting 6000 random files on "shuffle" doesn't really cut it...I want to listen mainly to my fav music.
So, I want playlists. So far I've started working on meditations, classical and international. At the end, I'll pull selected items from each and make my super fav playlist.
However, it takes FOREVER to scroll through the 6000 tracks, and even worse, every file remains visible in the library list, even after I've categorized it! It's woefully confusing to me.
Is there any way (using any app - not just Floola) to hide library items that have already been added to a playlist? This way, the visible library list gets smaller and smaller as I organize, and I don't have to second guess whether something's been categorized or not. It's less confusing and I'll avoid inadvertently miss files.
Again, THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!!
