I would like to be able to email photos from my iPhone 3GS (model A1303 on back of case) to one of the people in my address book.
I found lots of web sites with instructions, like this one:

I am able to follow the instructions up to the point where I click on the Mail icon. At that point, I cannot get the To: field or any way to select a contact.
On my settings screen, it says I have iOS 6.1.6 (10B500). When I ask it to check for updates, it says I am up to date.
Help!
