Problem using Playlists in car

I have what I believe to be a 120GB Classic iPod. I've been using it as simply a song-player with a headphone, and Playlists work as advertised. Now I have a car (Mini Countryman) that comes with a "y" shaped cable that I can plug the iPod into and control through the cars controls. I really like this option, and loaded a bunch more songs and rearranged Playlists the way I like them. I can select/play them on the computer, or just with headphones....BUT, when I try to select a Playlist while in the car, it ignores me, and just plays one song after another without regard to Playlist designations. They play beautifully by the way. (The only way to request a specific Playlist is on the device menu, but the car can't seem to recognize the request.) :confused:



Is there something I'm doing wrong, or need to set, or define, or ?? When I'm in the mood for rock...and get a jazz song, and then a Christmas song, I want to have a hissy-fit. :mad:
