Adding new contacts

On a very early model iPad (without camera) ...... would someone remind me how to add new contacts to my email contacts. FWIW ... My email account is name@yahoo.com.

I tried Settings\Mail, Contacts,Calendar and I click my account and I see that CONTACTS is ON. But where do I go from there?
