Mutiple Device Question

if this post should be somewhere else I apologize. I have 2 devices registered with my apple Id. A Gen 5 IPod touch & a gen 3 IPad. I recently moved and have a new main email address. I went to Apples ID management and changed my ID to the new email address. Everything is fine with the pad but the IPod Touch is still wanting the old ID and password. How do I sync the Pod with the new ID?
