Back story, so I bought a buddies iPod touch 5th gen that used to be his ex-wife's. There's a passcode on it, I've tried the dfu mouse on my macbook pro but I keep getting the "device not eligible for the selected build," so I try it on my old netbook that I have and it times out of dfu mode before it can finish the restore. I've checked the host files for both but no luck there. Any way that anyone know how to bypass the passcode and erase it? Please help.
