I guess this has been asked before, but can't seem to get a definitive answer, or not one that I understand....
I have a large collection of mo3 tracks and wish to normalise them.
I do track analyse and get several 'Y' entries, which is to with clipping !!
If I then do apply track gain, many of the tracks have clipping applied....
I a know I can select apply gain without clipping, but this option seems to stop the gain from being applied on the tracks with the ' Y'. Or maybe I am doing something wrong !!
Also the number default is 87 i believe, I tried it at 94 then 100 to try and reduce the clipping, but it still seems as bad....
Can't quite get my head around what the effect on playing is from leaving clipping on.....does it distort the loudest parts of the track ???
Just need some advice......will play tracks on ipod eventually..
Many thanks
