Hi all,
I have an iPod classic 5G 160Gb. I'm running iTunes 11.2.2.3 on Windows 7.
My CD collection is ripped to mp3 but, of course, downloads are encoded as aac.
I am in the process of re-ripping my collection to aac and this goes fine (I'm selecting the option to replace existing files, so iTunes automatically replaces the mp3 file with a new aac file without losing the metadata etc).
All goes fine until I come to sync the amended tracks to my 'Pod. The machine seems to struggle to detect the changed files: some are synced and some aren't.
I'm having to either untick each file, remove it from my iPod, tick each file and re-sync it or do a full system restore, neither of which are ideal.
Can anyone offer any thoughts or advice about this problem?
Thank you.
