Going for my road test (stop sign help)

I’m going for my road test soon, and aside from asking for general advice, I mainly want to ask about rules at stop signs. The main one I have is one that I think I have an answer to, but I’m not sure, When there is a stop sign a few feet before an intersection, followed by a white line, do I still need to stop at the sign, or just stop at the line?
