I am hoping someone can help me. I have been backing up my iTunes library every couple of days and I have a backup from yesterday. So I am thinking I am good. There are alot of threads here and I can't seem to locate what I am going through in some very long threads.
My comp crashed while my iTunes was open. I don't think the crash was related to iTunes. When I opened up itunes everything was gone. I had reload all my music again but everything is gone, playlists, counts, play history. I need to get this back.
I have been using synctoy and backing up my complete itunes folder so everything I need should be here. I found the .itl file that would be needed in the Previous Library Folder. It was modified with yesterday's date. The name of the file is dated 2011-03-29 (probably when I installed itunes). This file is still current right?? What is the process of getting my current library back. I tired deleting the new one it created today and pasted the backup.itl but nothing happened. :confused:
