The other day, I was attempting to reset my iPod 4 to factory settings (i.e delete all data and completely restore) to pawn off to my brother. It's fairly old, but everything was in working condition. I plugged the iPod into the computer (I'm using Windows 8.1 and iTunes 11) and went through the steps to restore it, but in the middle of the restoration process, it came up with some error (that I can't even remember at this point). Regardless, the process was aborted, but I found out that my iPod was now stuck in recovery mode (I can turn it on and off , but then a screen with a blue iTunes logo and a usb cable pops up and stays up). To my additional horror, I've found that neither iTunes nor my computer can detect my iPod. I've uninstalled and reinstalled different versions of iTunes and even attempted 3rd party programs to kick it out of recovery mode, but none of the suggestions I've come across have helped. Can anyone here help me?
