I've had this problem for ages and always thought it was a sync problem. The symptoms were that every time I synced my phone, my iTunes would not detect my phone as linked to the same account I've used for a decade. So all the changes I make to my contacts and calendar are "merged" rather than added to Outlook, on my laptop.
Often (but not always), when I open iTunes, I get the Terms and Conditions agreement screen and when I get in I have to re-log in to my account again.
When I check my authorised devices in my iTunes account, I see it has my previous phones, but not my latest phone.
On my phone, I am logged in to iTunes, but not on iCloud.
Any advice? This makes it very worrying everytime I sync as I may have lost new contact and calendar information without realising.
