My father has a new iPod touch, 3 weeks old he usually listens through headphones so no problem so far. However I put it on speaker and the distortion and crackling was terrible. Went to the Apple Store and was told the next available appointment was 7 days time.
I was told to come back tomorrow queue up and maybe someone will see me.
So firstly I presume the iPod speaker is faulty and taking it back is the only course of action. Secondly the customer service is quite bad or do Apple have such a high failure rate that there is a 7 day delay before they can even look at the iPod.
