How iTunes Podcasts work

Hello Everyone, I'm attempting to learn how I would submit a podcast to the iTunes Store, I know I have to have an RSS feed and I have to host the podcast on a server. Can that be on a regular website or do I have to have a networked computer hosting the server... thanks for helping
