On screen keyboard "twitchy" (for lack of a better term)

I recently acquired a used iPad 4. The seller assured me it was in perfect working order. Well, after having it for a couple of weeks now, I've come to find out it's only about 98%, which as we all know, is NOT perfect. And of course, the scum bag will not answer my e-mails asking him if he knew of the problem and conveniently "forgot" to mention it. :mad:



Anyway, when I use the on screen keyboard, which isn't often right now due to its problem, sometimes when I press a letter, it will show up twice (i.e., if I pres the "e" key, it shows up as "ee" on the screen). On a couple of rare occasions, it has done triple lettering. It's not too bad to deal with, unless I'm typing in a password; then it's a huge PITA.



I guess I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this sort of problem, and if so, how did you correct it, if indeed it was correctable? It has the latest version of iOS on it, and I experienced the problem both before and after the update.



Any help / comments / suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
