I am facing crashes and bugs issue, when I try to give feedback through Feedback App, even my mail did not send and stuck in outbox.
Is there any way to fix this issue?

iOS password reset? (3 dead-ends)

Hi there,

Hoping someone can give me some advice on restoring an old iPad 2, the password for which I've forgotten. I've had it sitting in a drawer for years, and wanted to give it away.

Apple's "forgot your passcode?" page suggests three options:
1) use itunes to restore device
2) use iCloud
3) connect to iTunes but use the sleep+home hold to eventually bring up the recovery mode.

The problem:
1) This seemed to be working, but I ran into two problems: First, iTunes claimed I had the "Find my Phone" feature turned on on this device, so couldn't use iTunes to reset it. iTunes also wanted to download an iOS update before restoring. I let it. Now the iPad needs my passcode before updating, and iTunes won't connect anymore until I enter it.
2) I can find the device on iCloud, but it's not connected to wifi (and I obviously can't unlock it to create a connection), so no dice.
3) the hard-reset-to-restore doesn't work ... it just resets and brings me to the iOS update passcode-log in screen.

Would really appreciate any advice!

Replaced iPod 5g with 256gb SSD, new battery...not working

Hello,

I'm a novice repairman for this, but I read on how to repair an old iPod, I tried with my old 5th gen iPod Classic 30g. I bought a 256gb Toshiba SSD, a 40-pin adaptor, and a new battery. I used the tools, opened it up, replaced the battery, connected the adaptor/SSD to the iPod 40-pin cable, and put it back together. It doesn't look like I damaged anything in the process.

So far the computer will not recognize the iPod and the iPod screen cycles between "very low battery" and the sad iPod face. I double checked all the connections and they look good. the SSD/adaptor/battery are all new and should be compatible. I cannot get the iPod into disc mode and cannot use disc utility.

Any ideas on what I did wrong? Does the SSD have to be formatted ahead of time? I thought I could use disc utility and do that. I hope I didn't just waste a lot of money on non-compatible items. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

bass quality is horrible

Hello,

I just bought a new iPhone and the bass quality is horrible. Rather than enhancing the bass, it makes it sounds all crackly.

I tried to Google this and it told me to go to settings > Music > EQ > Bass Reducer, but the quality is still horrible.

Is there anything else I can do?

How can I shuffle my playlist so I see every song with detail?

My favorite feature of an older version of iTunes. When you hit the shuffle button it plays them jumping around no matter the order (the order on the far left when being viewed in 'song' mode). Is there a way so it I can sort this column to show how the program has shuffled the songs?

Hopefully that makes sense. If you need clarification, let me know.

Alternatives for CallBurner

Hey All

I am a podcaster with my own podcast called Ramblings of a Guy From Regina. Lately however I've been having problems with one of my programs. Ever since I started, I had been using CallBurner to record the audio Skype conversations that are the basis of my podcasts. And since 2010, it had been working perfectly fine. But this month, when I recorded an episode with a podcast guest, the entire audio was static garbage. At first, I thought maybe the problem was on his side. But when I recorded with someone else, the exact same problem occurred. And then after a week at a computer to clean it and then uninstall and reinstall the hard drive and over $300, the guys at the place basically said that because of Windows 10, CallBurner is now no longer compatible with the software I have. So now I'm in the process of finding a new program to record my Skype conversations that is compatible with Windows 10.

Has anyone here recently had the same problems as I had? And what program would you guys recommend I use to record audio Skype conversations? I have a program on my iPad that I haven't tried out yet, but I'd rather it be on my computer so that the set-up I have remains intact. If you guys could help me out on this, it would be much appreciated.

How do you re-encode MP3s?

Im not sure where to put this. i was reading somewhere you can rencode mp3s to a lower bitrate but its best to do it from the highesy 320. i alway knew there was a way but the only way i could do it is rip the file to a CD and rip it back and it would be a lower 255 bitrate. but apparently there are esier ways, i just can not find out how. apparently you have to download some kind of software?

Problem with multi disc albums

In the past when I have an album that has say 3 cds I was able to go right click> get info and put disc 1 of 3, 2 of 3 and 3 of 3. In my music folder the files would then show up as 1-01, 1-02 right through the first disc and the 2-01, 2-02 and so on.
Now I do the same with itunes 12 but in the folder it now shows up as 01 song title, 01 song title, 01 song title and then 02......It does not differentiate which is disc 1, 2 or 3. Is there a way of going back to the old way of doing it.
You will be surprised how many multi discs I have....

iPod classic (7th) doesn't recognize fixed metadata upon sync

I just recently bought an iPod classic, 7th generation. I imported my whole music collection (about 67 GB/6,500 files) into iTunes 12.3.2.35 on a MacBook Pro. The files I was copying over to it were on a hard drive hooked up to a Windows machine.

It went okay for the most part, but about 8% of my collection got put into the Unknown Artist folder. I used "Get Info" and looked at some of those files and found that the original file name had populated the "song name" field only. Naturally that necessitates fixing the metadata so that the song name is in its proper field and the artist name is in the artist name field, etc. I figured it's only about 480 files, it won't be fun, but I'll do it. I figured that when I then synced the iPod to the iTunes library again it should fix all that.

Well, after spending hours cleaning up that file info in iTunes, I let the iPod sync again and guess what... it's all still in the Unknown Artist folder!

What's wrong? Why doesn't it update with the new metadata? Is there a way to fix it through the iTunes software? It seems like iTunes is actually behaving normally and it's the iPod that is not reacting the way it should.

LATE EDIT: I went back and looked at some of the source files that I had copied into iTunes and sure enough, the ones that are being put into the Unknown Artist folder on the iPod were missing the artist name metadata in the original source files. But what I don't get is—shouldn't the iPod be able to pick it up now that I fixed the metadata in iTunes?

Can not ejest my ipod.

I get the error message "this ipod can not be ejected bevause it contains files that are in use by another application" what does that even mean?? i have to go to the folder and right click to eject it. :confused:

iCloud backup data

I have notice an increase in my data usage since I started using ICloud Photo Lib and iCloud backup. When I backup my data does it backup everything or just what changed since the last backup? How can I manage what gets backed up and what is not.

I pod touch not syncing new albums

I just copied a couple of new cd's to my new computer and tried syncing my iPod Touch and it seems to be a no go. As I said it is a new computer and the iPod says sync will resume when the old computer is available. That's not going to happen because it died. Any ideas how to get the iPod to recognize the new computer. I do get indications of sync on the computer when I activate sync on the computer but nothing syncs across.

How do I back up my iPhone?

I'm trying to back up my iPhone on my PC. I plug it in with USB and I can see DCIM with all my pictures inside. It's 14.2 MB. However, the entire iPhone is using 6.47 GB. The pics in DCIM can't be all there is on the iPhone.

How can I back up everything on my iPhone?

Using Ibooks and saving pages

I am using Ibooks for the 1st time on my Ipad mini and every time I finish reading a portion of my book and exit out and when I go to start reading again my book is right back at the beginning, it will not start off at the page I last read, how can I fix this.

iTunes Media File Count vs Song Count

Hello, When I do a Properties on my Music folder in iTunes Media Folder it gives 10,366 files & 1,112 folders. When I go into iTunes my number of songs is 10,226. My question is; Why doesn't the file count in iTunes Media Folder and song count in iTunes match ??

Manage photos manualy. (way overdue topic)

One thing about my ipod is while i can manage my music and videos manualy and "drag them" on the ipod using itunes. I cant seem to do that with photos. How are photos differant? i can not pull up a list of my photos like i can my music and videos and just delete and add. is there another way to get to the photos manualy?

Is this Pokemon Go or a fraud?

Hello,

I just downloaded Pokemon Go on my iPhone 5, at least I think I did. The way it's behaving seems more like malware to me though.

So I start the application and it asks me to enter my date of birth. Before I can even touch the screen, I voice listener comes up blocking the Pokemon Go interface and it asks me to say "Hey Siri"--so I say it into the mic, it does something weird like it's trying to analyze my voice, and then asks me to say it again. This repeats a number of times, and then it starts asking me to tell it what I want. I basically told it "I want you to go away", but it didn't listen.

Now the damn thing comes up with almost everything I do--from listening to music to checking text messages to surfing the net, etc. It's like those stupid disc scanning viruses that load up on your PC every time you boot up.

I think this is a virus or some kind of malware. Anyway, how do I get rid of it?

iPod goes into deep sleep within 30 minutes, only hard reset wakes it up, help!!

A couple weeks ago I had an issue where my ipod classic (160 gb) would go into deep sleep after being idle for 30 minutes or more. I thought it was a battery issue and got the battery replaced but I'm still having this error. The only way to get out of deep sleep is by a hard reset.

I restored the ipod (and even used disk utility on the hard drive itself to make sure) but it still goes into deep sleep after 30 minutes every time. If I have my ipod in the car and go do groceries and come back the ipod requires a hard reset just to turn back on. In the good ol' days you would simply hit play and it would pick up where you left off.

I did a diagnostics test and it didn't say there were any hard drive issues at all and the battery was replaced which seems to be working fine as even after a hard reset from deep sleep the battery levels seem pretty normal. I've also let the battery drain down on its own, and then recharged it fully and I still get the 30 minutes or less deep sleep issue.

Any advice? Do I need find a way to go back to an older firmware? Although I've had the current firmware (2.04 I believe) for several years without a hitch until recently.

ANY help would be appreciated, new logic board is $180 and I'm more inclined to do it if it is a logic board issue but I want to make sure it is and not a firmware issue.

Presence of one mp3 slows and crashes Itunes

I have this song: "K.Flay - FML (Vanic Remix)"
I would post the link to the download but I am not allowed to. If you wish to see it please keep in mind that it will ask you to subscribe to the artist in some way(soundcloud, instagram, facebook...ect)

This Mp3 slows Itunes down to a crawl. It does not matter if it is playing or not. All problems start upon placing it into my Itunes library, and stop once I have removed it.

Itunes becomes laggy. The simple act of selecting different songs (not playing) takes more time than expected. Pulling up song information takes two to three minutes. In the case of the song in question, it is even worse. When searching the song in the search bar It's album artwork is black. Playing music is completely unaffected by these problems. The song and any other song play without problem or noticeable loss of performance.

When syncing my ipod touch with this particular mp3, my ipod's "Music" is no longer usable. Loading it up brings me to an empty library and an unresponsive ipod. My ipod will remain like this untill the app crashes, bringing me back to my home screen.

The mp3 is sitting in a folder outside of itunes on my desktop, with the rest of my downloaded music. I've tried converting it to AAC, did not help.

Removing this song from my Itunes and resyncing my ipod removes all problems. I have redownloaded this mp3 multiple times and yet the problems persist.

I am using Windows XP
Itunes ver 12.1.3.6 32-bit
Ipod Touch gen 5 version 9.3.3

The majority of my music is downloaded, This is the first time I've had this problem and I'm completely clueless.

when i tried to import the iTunes Library.itl file it tells me its from previous version of itunes, ( it is ),how do keep this file current?

am i just to manually import my library or can some how use this file.

6s Plua audio distortion issue

I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue. I have an iPhone 6S Plus 64GB running iOs 9.3.3, and recently it's been having audio distortion issues. Suddenly any sound that I play, music, ringtones, even the click shutter sound when taking a pic is very distorted, and stutters. When it's in this distortion mode, only rebooting the phone corrects it. While it's distorted any videos I record, will record with this distortion, and ruin the video.

I have a battery case plugged into the phone, but this is never happening when the phone is being recharged by the battery pack. The battery pack is a MOTA Extended Battery Case for iPhone 6s Plus. The next time I get this issue, I will remove this case, and see if it's the cause. After that I'll remove the case to see if the problem returns without the case installed.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Can't Sync all Songs for Ipod Touch

Hi



I just installed ITunes and also have factory reset my Ipod Touch. It syncs maybe 1/4 of my songs and then stops syncing. No matter how many times I unplug it or restart ITunes the Sync button is greyed out. Also when the Ipod is unplugged the Ipod still has the little spinning arrows as if still syncing. Any idea why as I have plenty of room on the Ipod?

Playlist question

Recently I had to reinstall iTunes onto my pc. I have about 100,000 songs on iTunes and had created some playlists that I absolutely love. Some of these playlists I transferred to my ipod (160gb). Of course now I have reinstalled iTunes these playlists are no longer there.
Do I have to manually make these playlists again or is there a way to transfer the playlists I have on my ipod back onto iTunes. (would save a lot of work!!!)

iTunes won't recognize iPhone

Hello,

I recent bought a new iPhone 5. I plugged it into my Mac and had some trouble getting iTunes to recognize it. I had to say 'trust' on my iPhone a few times, and it gave me some errors, but iTunes never did recognize my iPhone. Now it does nothing. I plug the iPhone in and I don't get a prompt to trust this host and I don't get any error messages on the computer. Nothing shows up in iTunes.

I do get my iPhone showing up in iPhoto and I see all my photos. I never had a problem with this, not even a "trust this host" prompt.

When I plug my iPhone into my PC, however, iTunes comes up immediately and recognizes my iPhone.

Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

My Mac is running OS X 10.5.8 and iTunes 10.6.3. My PC is running Windows 10 and iTunes 12.4.1.6

New nano - telling me to upgrade Itunes..

It says "The iPod "IPOD" cannot be used because it requires iTunes version 12.2 or later.

I've been using 10.7 since 10.7 came out and the upgrades have taken away some features I enjoy. Is there a work around for this? Can I somehow have both versions running? I'm using Windows if that matters at all.

Child safety questions

Hi :)

Im looking to get my 10 year an i pod touch. I have read all about restictions and safe browsers.

However i have read that restrcitions can be bypassed via links in apps, emails and messenger - can anybody tell me if they know if this is the case?

Also i have heard you can tether an ipod touch and any safe browser would not work. I would like to know would the preset restrictions be bypassed using tethering?
