I pod touch not syncing new albums

I just copied a couple of new cd's to my new computer and tried syncing my iPod Touch and it seems to be a no go. As I said it is a new computer and the iPod says sync will resume when the old computer is available. That's not going to happen because it died. Any ideas how to get the iPod to recognize the new computer. I do get indications of sync on the computer when I activate sync on the computer but nothing syncs across.
