Not showing itunes

Just had this irritating problem again. I got an e mail showing some new iBooks, so clicked on book title and get usual screen and then click on view in iTunes. When I do that it immediately goes to a screen to download iTunes, of which I have the latest version installed on my pc.

Why is it doing this, and how can I view the item I want for possible purchase?
