Location of Podcast directory?

At some point in time, the Location of the podcast directory seems to have changed from

<mediafolder>\Podcast

to

<mediafolder>\itunes media\Podcast

In fact, it seems to have moved back and forth!
I think it started as the first, then it moved to the second and now it's moved back to the first again!

Or can I control this somehow? I discovered it as I was creating playlists.
It has lead to duplication of episodes downloaded and it's wasting a lot of space.

Any tips appreciated!
