For years I have resisted the push to use my IPhone for music and have stayed with my Classic as I use many seeded smart playlists with live updating. I've known that these have historically not worked well on iOS especially the live updating.
Well my Classic has gotten to the point it really won't hold a charge and I bit the bullet and upgraded to a 128gb IPhone 6s with the intent of moving my music listening to that device.
Of course on my first attempt live updating appears to be broken with my big complex playlist. I went to the most basic level though and created a smart live updating playlist where rating is 2 and not listened to in past week and it actually removed the track if I left playlist and went back in...so thats good.
So in searches in these forums I don't see any recent topics on this for more recent versions of iOS. I am going through trying to troubleshoot what breaks the live updating to develop workarounds but thought I'd toss it out to the group to see if there has been any improvement.
Is CodeMonkey still around?
