The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes.
I did this with my old computer. Didnt work, got the same message. Then I found a help section on iTunes that told me to change registry settings. I did that. Didnt work, got the same message. Maybe my google-fu is weak, but this is the only solution I could find.
Then I bought a new computer. I mean brand new, delivered May this year. Running Windows 7.1, all latest updates installed. i7 processor, Asus motherboard, I spent some bucks. It doesn't have any CD burning software, just games, internet browswer, and word processor. So I figured, Now iTunes will work.
Nope. Same message, same problem. Running latest version of iTunes. Its been about 11 months since I could last use iTunes, and since pretty much *all* I do is import and burn CDs, this is really cramping my style.
Can anybody help me with this? I'd really appreciate any/all advice. thanks.
