Boy I messed things up somehow! I recently bought a new PC and successfully transferred my music, artwork, and ratings. Then I wanted to create a second library so I could separate my wife/daughter's music from mine. That was successful too. But when trying to open itunes with MY library (the existing default library) I couldn't locate the file path correctly. I could only find/open the newly created library. I thought the best solution would be to create ANOTHER new library for my music, but when doing that I lost a LOT of artwork and ALL song ratings, as well as some sorting info. It will take hours to re-organize it. The files that I used to transfer to the new PC are still on my external HD, so I can start over-- BUT I need some feedback on proper file hierarchy in order to re-transfer. The external HD has a folder named Itunes with various subfolders and files, but I chopped up the stuff in the "Itunes Media" subfolder. I need to rebuild "Itunes Media" before I can re-transfer. For now I just want to fix MY library, and then I can look into rebuilding the second library for my wife/daughter. Thanks for any help!
