Recover Ipod data from hard drive directly

Hi guys,



I've got a 6th Generation iPod classic which recently died. It won't charge from either the mains or the laptop, and wont soft reset. Some of the music on the Ipod (about 30gb) wasn't backed up (my fault!). If I was to dismantle the iPod and remove the hard drive, does anyone know of a way of connecting the hard drive to the computer directly?
