I have an iPad2 which I've had about 3 years and an iPad Mini 2 I got last Christmas. I've been happily using the iPad Mini but never bothered to sync it to my computer. I was having big issues with iTunes but I have now uninstalled and reinstalled it and it seems OK. I would like to sync the iPad Mini to back it up and also to get my Music library on to my Mini.
When I connect it, I get 2 choices - either to set up as a new iPad or to restore from the backups I made for the iPad2. I don't want the second but am worried that if I do the first I will lose everything on my Mini. I have googled for hours and am getting conflicting info. Can anyone advise please?
Also, after getting the Mini sorted out, my oh would like to sync his iPhone to get our Music library on there too. Presumably, whatever works for the iPad Mini would be the same for the iPhone?
