New iPhone 5s Powerful Commercial

Hello



I am trying to find out what is the hardware and software used on the new iPhone 5s Commercial Powerful. There is a list of apps on the Apple web site from the apps used in the commercial. The only one NOT listed is the woman who has a metal case on her wrist and the iPhone is set in it. The iPhone screen has 8 red squares lit on the iPhone screen(5 Seconds into commercial) then (20 Seconds into Commercial) 8 green colored squares on iPhone screen, she then moves her wrist back and forth to make music. Apple store and My Apple has no Idea. Does anybody here have an answer. If you watch the new video 5 seconds into it, shows what I'm trying to find out. and then again, 20 seconds later same video, (commercial).

I tried resetting my iphone 3gs and I never succeed. I tried the instructions provided on apple discussions but I got no luck at all. At the end of the restoring process, a message box popped up telling that my internet connection is not stable to finish the process, I did another try on different ISP and the result is still the same. Match won't turn off or let me sync HELP

Hi, I can't sync my music or libraries since I let Match expire. I am using current version of Itunes on a Mac. Can't sync music to my iphone4s or 3gs.

iTunes Match not working

I have all my cd's loaded into my Win 7 PC's iTunes. I have iTunes Match, but the iTunes on my iPhone 5 only has the music I have purchased thru iTunes. I discovered this when I tried to play a "playlist" I created on my computer on my phone--it isn't on my phone. Isn't this what "Match" is supposed to do?? I have turned "match" on and off on my phone, synced it to my PC, and none of this has had any effect. Thanks in advance if anyone can shed some light here...!

iOS 7.0.4 – iPhone 5 – Jailbroken - Camera Issue *HELP*

Just recently – 2 days past – my camera app stopped working. As of this post, its not even turning on. Before, it merely showed a black screen with the main shutter button not responding.



This is for all camera related apps – not just the stock Apple one.



Before this occurred, there was no trauma either software-wise nor hardware-wise so its quite strange. Because I’m on 7.0.4, I can’t restore this iphone.



What I’ve done is:



1) Reset all settings through Settings App

2) Use iLEX R.A.T to reset to stock iOS w/o losing jailbreak

3) Used SemiRestore7 to “semi-restore” the iPhone.





In SAFE MODE I'm able to access the front camera (STOCK APP) but the back camera is still a no go. It just freezes and stalls. No response and I have to force quit the app.





None of these options worked. I’m including a video of the direct issue occurring whilst opening the Camera App as well as the list of Cydia Apps installed on my iPhone. Hopefully this will be enough to troubleshoot mine (and others’) issues in regards to this strange flaw.

Transferring iBooks notations between versions

I just upgraded from an iPhone 3GS to an iPhone 5S, and I had a bunch of files in an older version of iBooks on the old phone that included a number of notes and bookmarks. When I transferred everything between phones, the notations originally transferred just fine because I also originally put that older version of iBooks on my new phone as well. Then I updated iBooks to the newest version and my bookmarks/notes all disappeared. It sounds like that can happen between versions of iBooks, but for obvious reasons I'd like to retrieve my notations instead of having to recreate them. It sounds like I might be able to transfer notations if I update iBooks on my old phone, but I'm concerned if I do that I'll just lose all of them again.

New computer, syncing certain podcasts without deleting all others

My computer died and took my iTunes library file with it. (Incidentally, as an aside, how can I ensure that the library file is maintained on my external drive? I moved it there in the past but apparently at some point iTunes created a new one on the C drive, I guess when the external drive wasn't connected or something.).



So after a fresh install I had iTunes rebuild the library and it detected all my podcasts as well (I didn't know it could do that actually). So here's the question: some of the podcasts I have on my iPod have episodes that I haven't listened to yet and may not be able to get again. I don't want them deleted. If I choose to sync podcasts in iTunes and then check the 1 or 2 that I want, will it still delete all the others? It seems to, because the data meter on the bottom seems to clearly be showing that if I hit "apply" I'll lose a lot of data, even when I only have one podcast checked.

Song format

Hi,

am new to the forum. I've had an older and smaller ipod for a number of years and recently bought a larger 8 gb touch. I'm looking at the songs in my iTunes folder on my laptop and it looks like I have 370 songs that are taking up 13 gb. I was under the impression that I should be able to get about 1000 songs on an 8gb ipod. My songs/albums are music mostly from the 70/80's but am wondering are they just larger songs or do I have the wrong format that is maybe taking up more space than I expected?? Any info would be appreciated.

Downside to using old camera connection kit via 30-pin to lightning adaptor?

I already have a 30-pin to lightning adaptor. From what I can tell, I should be able to use the 30-pin camera connection kit with card reader and usb connector run through this instead of buying the newer, native lightning model.



Are there any known downsides to doing this this way?



RIght now, I'm looking at pulling pic/vids off of sd cards, and need the usb adaptor for one camera with a goofy type of card.

Itunes ID email

Someone else is using my email address as their email to log into itunes store. This started a long time ago, but I use a different email address so I didn't really worry about it. I guess Apple didn't verify email address back when it was made. But I want to use that email with my account, but it is already in use. How do I remove who ever is using it now?



I clicked the lost password and changed the password and I can see all the person's information. They haven't purchased anything since 2012. Their last name is the same as mine and they live in Texas.



Is there anyway to remove them so I can use this email? I have looked online but I don't see where anyone who has had this problem and has been able to get it resolved.

Hifiman RE-400 earbud review

Recently, Hifiman had a promotion where they gave out a pair of their RE-400 earbuds. It ended a few days ago and, oddly enough, I was the only one who participated. The earbuds arrived last week on Thursday and I've been using them over the weekend. This is my personal review of the RE-400 earbuds.











Design



The earbuds pretty much look like every other in-ear silver earbuds on the market. That isn't a bad thing but, if you are fashion-focused, these aren't going to stand out. With earbuds, that shouldn't really matter though. The design is solid and it works well. The earbuds come with multiple ear tips so it shouldn't be an issue finding ones that are comfortable while still sealing out ambient noise. These are noise isolating earbuds so making that seal in your ear is crucial.



The wire for the earbuds is covered in cloth which should add durability for everyday use along with more vigorous activities. Due to the cloth covering, the wire isn't as flexible as a standard headphone cord but it's not as nearly as stiff as other cloth covered wires. The wire length is more than adequate and I haven't had any issues with the wire being too long or too short. My only complaint with the design is a lack of built-in controls. I've become used to having in-line controls with my earbuds and headphones now so going back to controlling things with my iPhone felt like a step backwards. I lost count of how many times I reached for controls only to find the cloth coated wire. These headphones are designed to be used with high end DAPs which don't work with Apple's proprietary controller technology. So I understand why the in-line controls were left out but it would still be nice to have.



I also have some problems with earbuds like this staying in place. After an hour or so, they being to slip out of my ears. I have to wipe them down and they'll be fine for another hour. Some manufacturers, such as Bose and Beats, are including wing tips with their earbuds. These help keep the earbuds in place by softly pushing up against your outer ear. My most comfortable earbuds are a pair of Bose SIE2i. Their wing tips are extremely soft enabling hours of listening without comfort issues or problems with the earbuds falling out. The Beats Tour 2.0 earbuds are almost the same though I prefer the Bose setup. It would be nice if Hifiman implemented something like this as it would increase their comfort level (for me) while allowing for longer listening times since I wouldn't have to take them out and wipe them down every hour. It isn't a deal breaker by any means but it would have been an added benefit.



Sound Quality



I'll be honest here, I have mixed feelings. On one hand everything sounded extremely accurate and well balanced. The lows were represented just as much as the mids and highs presenting a full sound stage that didn't lean one way or the other. It's a welcome change from other headphones and earbuds that neglect mids while focusing on highs and lows, likely to suite the tastes of modern listeners and the dynamic compression applied to commercial music releases.



Having said that, I've gotten used to having overly deep bass and these aren't going to provide that with an iPhone, iPad, iPod, or even a standard desktop/notebook. I'm not sure if these will churn out more bass when hooked up to a dedicated amp. I do not have an amp or a high end DAP so I can't fully judge the potential of these earbuds. The earbuds that Apple throws in with every device (minus the iPad) produce more bass than these. Are they as balanced or clear? Nope, not even close. The RE-400 earbuds are much more evenly balanced than the earbuds that Apple gives away long with earbuds from Bose, Sony, JVC, Skullcandy, etc. I thoroughly enjoy their sound quality but the lack of booming bass does take some getting used to. People who prefer the overly blown sound of Beats headphones should not purchase these. The RE-400 earbuds are accurate and not meant to produce the thumping bass and squealing highs that "teens" and "tweens" experience when listening to their music.



I'm still using the RE-400 earbuds and will continue to do so as they are now my go-to earbuds. The lack of overblown bass took some getting used to but I enjoy having a more balanced sound. That's why I have mixed feelings. They sound great but not what I've been forced to become used to. After some time, I will likely become used to these and hate the overblown sound produced by the vast majority of commercial headphones and earbuds.



Everything Else



As I previously said, these come with a bunch of ear tips so finding the right size shouldn't be a problem. They also come with a small, circular, semi-rigid carrying case. The earbuds wrap up nicely while fitting in the carrying case with some room to spare. The case easily fits in my pocket so I can easily take the earbuds everywhere I want to go.



Wrap-up



Overall, these are very well-designed earbuds that offer a high level of durability. The cloth covered wire won't fray or break as easily as a standard headphone wire and I like the looks of the gray metal with the black earbud tips. The carrying case is convenient and enables easy transportation. Sound quality is balanced with lows, mids, and highs all being equally represented. People expecting booming bass should look elsewhere and these earbuds might be better paired with a dedicated DAP and amp. The inclusion of wing tips would increase the comfort level of the RE-400 earbuds along with my listening time. In-line Apple controls would have been a nice feature but it isn't completely necessary.



Final score: 4.5/5



Thanks to Hifiman for the giveaway, I'll continue using these earbuds and will hopefully be able to pair them with a DAP and amp later down the line.

Daughters contacts in my messaging

When I start a new message and enter the first couple of letters of the name of who I am messaging I get my daughters contacts as well as my own. I have checked and I don't have these people in my contacts. My wife doesn't have any of these show up on her phone when she starts a new message. I also do not have any of my wife's contacts show up when I start a new message, just my daughters and mine.



My wife, me and my daughter all share a apple ID. I sync my contacts to gmail, my wife syncs hers to hotmail. Not sure where my daughter syncs hers to, but I doubt anywhere.



I back up my phone and IPad to ICloud, they both back up their phones to computer.



I just checked and if I send a message on my IPad, same thing. I get my daughters contacts on there as well as my own when I do it, but they are not in my contacts.



Hope someone knows why before I accidentally text one of her friends.

iTunes Genius Assistance, HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok this is a two part inquiry to all out there as I need some clarification and assistance.



Background:

• I am running Windows 7 64 Bit operating system.

• I have just reinstalled iTunes 11.1.5.5 64 Bit version to my computer.

• I have all my music and videos on a separate 4TB drive, none is stored on my computer, I keep it all on my media drive.

• The iTunes library files are currently located on my C: drive, Libraries/Music/My Music/iTunes.... You know the typical default location for this data.

Part 1; Already posted:



A few days ago, not sure how it happened, "Genius" just up and disappeared from my iTunes interface, it no longer appeared on the left side panel, this included all my Genius Play Lists and the typical ones generated by Genius. It also removed the when my iPad, and my iPhone was sync'd, I did not notice at first, but all was gone. I tried to use the update Genius, but it will not load, it will not complete, I keep getting the time out error, The server is busy error, or it does complete, and when I go to select it, hell it just vanishes. I have been working on several ways from several threads to resolve this to no avail. I have even gone as far as to:



• Completely remove all traces of iTunes and reinstall.

• I have gone through my entire media drive and corrected all the album folders there, to remove any stray spaces, incomplete titles, odd symbols such as "~" and more, this was 8,958 album folders and was no easy task.

• All my music files are MP3, all the tags are clean.

• After removing iTunes and cleaning the registry, I relocated the music files to even shorten the path to them, in case the file path was too long and could be an issue.



Once iTunes was reinstalled, I directed it to the music folder containing all my music, and let it scan and load the library, once the library was loaded I once again turned on Genius and let it scan my music, it got as far as sending the info to apple and even was receiving the Genius download of data, but once it was complete, there was the Genius tab, but no playlists, and when I selected any songs, it said cannot generate from this song, it did with 20 different songs, it just would not work. I have repeated the process 5 times, and I have yet to get it working again.



I had read where one solution was to let iTunes manage my media files, and this leads to my additional question. I want to try this option, but I do not want it to duplicate my music files. What I wanted to do was from "C: take and move the iTunes music file to my media drive, or should I just move the iTunes media folder and leave the rest of the files on "C", the take my music and move it to iTunes\iTunes Media\Automatically Add to iTunes and select for iTunes to manage my music and let it scan and organize the music files (big risk, as I do not want all my files jumbled). This way as I understand it, iTunes will not create duplicate files, since the files are now in the Media folder.



So can anyone tell me if this is correct, before I move the files?



My plan is then to try to run Genius once the library has been organized; again my library is 377GB in size, 8,598 Folders, 160,945 Files.

Help re mixed paths in a library

Hi guys - just registered to ask this; been a reader of the content for a while now.



I'm in the middle of migrating to a new desktop, so want to take the time to fix something that's been bugging me for a while:



So: all media files reside on a NAS, using iTunes organization. The iTunes app runs locally on our computers with individual itl files for each user and each user account (IOW, I have two lib files, one on desktop one on laptop; the desktop is where I do all device management). Each person's library has iTunes pointing to the media files on the NAS. I do all admin, so I am careful about not having multiple sessions of iTunes attached to the media.



Problem is, when I set up the nas a couple years ago, I first set up my own library using the UNC path for the media files (hadn't mapped the drives yet). BUT I set up my wife's library using mapped drives. Then I imported some playlists into my library that had originally been done with the mapped drives, so I get duplicates.



Is there a way to unify the paths within my library files so that all are mapped lettered drives?

Synching an iPad to a an Xp pc

When I connect an Ipad to an XP pc via iTunes and call for a backup copy to be made ... Where do all those bytes get stored, on the C:\drive or the iTunes site? I see the term "cloud"; would someone please explain what this means in this context?



I backed up my iPad today and noticed an immediate loss of some 500 MBytes of C:\drive free space. How can I find the name of that folder and file? Is there a way I can move that backup folder to an external E:\ drive .... to conserve C:\drive free space? ...wdc

160gb ipod classic freezes during sync

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has this problem too. So I have tha 160gb and since there was corrupt files on my ipod that caused it to freeze alot. So I restored it and tried to sync my 9600 songs bakk on but all its does is make to about 2800 and then freezes both tha ipod and itunes. Now it just keeps doing that everytime after it tells me to restore cause it can't recognize tha content on tha ipod. Any help would be awesome

military needs help!

Sorry guys for not introducing myself, basically, I recorded a conversation very, very quickly on my Ipod Touch 2G I believe 32gig...........I looked down and it said 8:47 seconds in the red bar at the top of the screen, I had some things happen next, had to just shut the Ipod off quickly, now the conversation doesn't register when I look under audio memos.....I really, really need this conversation.......Does anyone have any ideas? am I screwed? I don't care about trashing the ipod, if I have to have it opened or whatever, I just really really need that conversation. It was a public conversation, nothing clandestine, but very important, somethings were said that are very important..............I came here to the experts. Anything I can do to get it back? is it there at all? It registered the 8:47 seconds? I'm currently in East Africa and have very little resources. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. iPAD2 update problem

This is what i have guys:



iPad2 WiFi 16GB A1395 (Jailbroken) on 6.1.2



Am trying to update to iOS 7 via iTunes 11.1.5, start iTunes - plug in iPad - get told an update is available - click on backup button - then click on update button - starts to extract files etc to update - then error message appears at the same time as the iPad2 goes in to recovery mode(apple icon with lead) - what a bummer!!!



Then try to update via IPSW file (various versions) and am told that the iPad and IPSW versions do not match so cannot update. Another bummer!!!!



Tried to use TinyUmbrella but it did not like the setup for some reason and aborted install. Yet another bummer!!!!!



My bum is now sore and fedup.



I now have an iPad2 which works in isolation as it doesn't like iTunes and doesn't update either.



Can someone please - please help me out here!!!???.:shake:

itl library file changes size by itself

My user account login was corrupted so I had to rebuild it. To keep the paths the same I first created a "Temp" profile, copied everything across, deleted my regular account, then rebuilt it. When I started iTunes, I checked the size of the itl and xml files and they were smaller. I copied the ones from my previous login from a backup, and after running iTunes again they were recreated, and again they were smaller. Does anyone know why this happens? I haven't made any changes to iTunes, I just opened and closed it. And why is it smaller? ( I can't remember by how much, probably around 1 kb or so). Thanks!

iTunes pause / audio distortion on Mavericks

Hello,





I have Macbook Pro 2011, 13 inch, running Mavericks and (intermitently) when I pause a video in iTunes it will resume playing with horrible audio distortion. This happens when I do my podcast with my Mackie Firewire soundboard attached.



If I keep trying to pause and play it, iTunes outright crashes.



This is super frustrating as I use iTunes to run my podcast and this reccuringly happens on air which is a major issue and doesn't sound too professional. Any assistance with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Charging problem after changing battery!

My Classic 7th gen, 160 GB got just a tiny bit wet, but that seemed to kill the battery. I changed the battery, but now I am still seeing the same behaviour that caused me to think the battery was dead, before switching.



I.e. When plugged into the charger everything works fine. But removing from charger, it dies. This is after charging for about an hour on a brand new battery.



Could something else be wrong with the ipod? I took a look at it when I changed the battery, and it was in very good shape despite going on 5 years old.

Love this thing but could the circuit board be damaged, or why is it behaving so strangely?



It wasn't soaked by any means, just got some tap water on it when it was in its sturdy case.



Never had any battery problems before, so any tips appreciated!

iPad2 cannot connect to iTunes

I backup my iPad2 to my laptop.

Today when I connect to my laptop I get message saying that

"the iPad could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and re-connect the iPad, then try again"



I tried this a number of time and tried different cables. It will not charge from the laptop once that message is shown but does charge from the mains.



Help!

As always, I need the laptop next week.

160 gb only holds 7k songs?

Hi, I have had an IPOD classic 160gb for about 5 years, I love it and use it almost daily. My IPOD is full with just over 7,000 songs and my friend has 20,000 and his is half full. I recorded all off of my cd's and I believe when I did so on advice I changed the "bit rate" or some other format when recording. Is this why? If so how can I change this do I have to start over. I did this after being told I would get better sound, Is that even true. If someone can clear this up I would be very gratefull.

a nooby in more ways than one

Hello forum members.



Not only am I a nooby to this forum but I have just bought my first Ipod touch (3rd generation, 2nd hand)



I assumed I bought a more powerfull MP3 player, but it seems I must use Itunes, but I am not sure what to do next. :confused:



The problem I have is this: I want to transfer my MP3 songs from my pc to the Ipod touch, so that I can select and play them just like an ordinary MP3 player. Must I transfer my files via Internet or can I load them directly from pc to Ipod via usb?



Is this possible? And how is it achieved.

Iphone 4S UK 3G signal boost possible?

Hi

Im in UK and have the Iphone 4S

I am on the 3-Network for my contract and so tethering is allowed on that, and when we go away to our caravan we use the Iphone wifi hotspot to connect our tablets to the internet,

but...

The signal is quite weak.

It is between 1-2 bars on 3G (usually 1) and also seems to drop out a lot.



On the internet there is a sea of signal boost info that boggles my mind.



So I wanted to please ask, is there something good, reliable effective (and reasonable cost) that would boost that 1-bar signal up to something much more reliable please?



Anything plug-in, attach or shove outside would be considered. Cant break the bank though (unless its a really great effective bit of kit that works miracles I guess)



Any advice would be very much appreciated.

My son has autism and really relies on his tablet, which connects to my hotspot. We go to a lovelly restaurant/pub there but it has zero signal. If there are any good suggestions for the question above, would those same suggestions be able to be hung out of the pub window in order to get a signal that would then relay inside the pub to my phone?
