My Classic 7th gen, 160 GB got just a tiny bit wet, but that seemed to kill the battery. I changed the battery, but now I am still seeing the same behaviour that caused me to think the battery was dead, before switching.
I.e. When plugged into the charger everything works fine. But removing from charger, it dies. This is after charging for about an hour on a brand new battery.
Could something else be wrong with the ipod? I took a look at it when I changed the battery, and it was in very good shape despite going on 5 years old.
Love this thing but could the circuit board be damaged, or why is it behaving so strangely?
It wasn't soaked by any means, just got some tap water on it when it was in its sturdy case.
Never had any battery problems before, so any tips appreciated!
