160gb ipod classic freezes during sync

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has this problem too. So I have tha 160gb and since there was corrupt files on my ipod that caused it to freeze alot. So I restored it and tried to sync my 9600 songs bakk on but all its does is make to about 2800 and then freezes both tha ipod and itunes. Now it just keeps doing that everytime after it tells me to restore cause it can't recognize tha content on tha ipod. Any help would be awesome
