Im in UK and have the Iphone 4S
I am on the 3-Network for my contract and so tethering is allowed on that, and when we go away to our caravan we use the Iphone wifi hotspot to connect our tablets to the internet,
but...
The signal is quite weak.
It is between 1-2 bars on 3G (usually 1) and also seems to drop out a lot.
On the internet there is a sea of signal boost info that boggles my mind.
So I wanted to please ask, is there something good, reliable effective (and reasonable cost) that would boost that 1-bar signal up to something much more reliable please?
Anything plug-in, attach or shove outside would be considered. Cant break the bank though (unless its a really great effective bit of kit that works miracles I guess)
Any advice would be very much appreciated.

PS:
My son has autism and really relies on his tablet, which connects to my hotspot. We go to a lovelly restaurant/pub there but it has zero signal. If there are any good suggestions for the question above, would those same suggestions be able to be hung out of the pub window in order to get a signal that would then relay inside the pub to my phone?
