2 iphones

Here is the deal. I got an iPhone 6 from my company for my work phone. I set up an Apple ID because my personal phone was an android. Once I started using my work phone, I liked it so much that I bought an iPhone 5s for my personal phone. When I set up my personal phone I used the same Apple ID. For some reason, when I get some text messages and send some, it comes to both phones or shows that I sent from both phones. It hasn't happened yet, but I am afraid that I might receive something on my work phone that is meant for my personal phone that might not be "work appropriate." I am not great with electronics, but was hoping someone here could help me out. I would like to change the Apple ID for my work phone, but just didn't know if I could without going through the whole setup process. I don't want to spend another morning with our I.T. guy at work to set this stupid thing up again. He said my phone shouldn't do that, but just thought I would try to get some help here.
