Delete icon

I wish to delete an icon that I've installed, it isn't one comes re installed. I have pressed and held on the icon all the icons jiggle about but there is no Cross at the top left on any of the icons. How can I delete this icon. Any help would be very much appreciated and my thanks in advance.
