IPad App store won't Search

Doesn't matter what I place in the Search Box, (in the iTunes Store on my iPad) even if I type the name of the app at the top of the Chart, I hit 'Search' and iPad goes to white screen with tiny circle going round and round in the middle, but that's where it stays - for hours if the iPad is turned on that long.

Please help.
