I believe this problem coincided with doing a fresh install of iTunes on a new system a few months ago, and them importing my old library files. I'm running Windows 7, iTunes 12.1.
I had no trouble importing my large music library, with playlists preserved.
However, my podcast library was a whole other story.
I believe these problems all surfaced at the same time. I've wondered if the cause was splitting the iTunes program files (system SSD) and my library files (secondary non-SSD), however, as I mentioned, this same split hasn't caused any problems in the music library.
Has anyone else encountered a set of issues like this? Any ideas on how I could fix them would be really appreciated.
Thanks!

However, my podcast library was a whole other story.
- Many saved podcast episodes don't display in the podcast interface, showing up instead in my music library (though with the podcast icon beside them, so presumably the program recognizes they're in the wrong place?).
- Podcasts I'm subscribed to now regularly stop updating properly. The only solution appears to be to unsubscribe and then resubscribe to them.
- Many actions within the podcast interface, particularly deleting an episode, causes the program to become unresponsive for ~10 seconds.
