I'm new to all this. I don't know much of the terminology. I'm just gonna tell what's going on, and in answering just assume I know hardly anything. Because it won't be assuming  Anyway, here goes:
I'm a janitor at a church, I listen to podcasts and other mp3s for hours a day. The only way I know to get the mp3s is by searching on google, finding links and/or RSSfeeds, then right click-->save link-->save. Over and over and over again. if I want to get, say, 30 podcast episodes, it takes me a little while (esp. since my laptop is crappy and runs slow). So yeah, it's been very very tedious, building up a regular library on my laptop of mp3s.
Upon listening to some podcasts they kept saying to "go to itunes and subscribe". I started to learn that you can actually get episodes sent right to your computer (I know, I know, this is like, BASIC information, but hey we all start somewhere). So I go and download itunes and subscribe to a few podcasts. I thought that the episodes would come and stay, I was hoping I could get all the back catalogue (which I can via the store I believe, but only by right click-->save link-->save, which is what I'm trying to avoid).
Seems though that the episodes only stay for a little while, then they go away. This is not what I wanted. I wanted the episodes to come without me having to waste a lot of time right clicking. I wanted to build a large library of podcasts without right clicking (or as little as possible). But so far, I can't find any episodes except one for each podcast. I clicked all sorts of stuff on the itunes thing but never could find a list except for those few podcast episodes.
OK, that's enough. Just some general info would be appreciated. I'll come back and inquire more as I learn more, or run into more snags. Thx! :)
