Computer Not Authorized Under Account

For some reason when I first got iTunes we somehow created two accounts. One of those is still active, but for some reason related to my daughter's purchases a year or so ago, the other account was deactivated.

I had to restore iTunes after a computer issue, and I've been piecing everything back together since then. Some songs I purchased a long time ago, under that now deactivated account will not play. iTunes says the computer needs to be authorized under that account, and every time I type in the password it just takes me back to the original message that I need to authorize the computer.

Is there a way I can get those songs that I paid for authorized again under a different account, or to restore the now deactivated account?
