New iPod nano not syncing

My new iPod nano will not sync with my iTunes library. I am on the cloud and also on iTunes match. My iPhone syncs fine. My library has a mixture of matched songs,purchased songs and uploaded songs (some songs downloaded from u tube will not match and remain as uploaded) Nothing will sync.
Help !!
