I am trying to edit track info for songs on iTunes but it won't save. At first I can edit all the info for a track but once I close iTunes and open it again, it reverts back. I'm trying to edit songs on an external hard drive but nothing seems to work. I tried the "consolidate files" setting but it unchecks itself when I check.
The hard drive's permission and all files/folders in it is set to read and write. First thing i checked.
The computer is authorized on iTunes.
Something about iTunes and external drives is not working because I took another external HDD and a usb drive, formatted them through disk utility and even then mp3 files will not have its track info to save.
The only way I can edit info and keep it is by copying files onto the internal drive, editing info on iTunes and then copying it to the external drive. This is annoying.
Anything I haven't done to fix this?
