App Store Updates Issue

I've had this strange problem ever since I've upgraded to ios 8 in that app store updates on my iphone 5 are very very slow, or not at all. When I try to update an app, whether on wifi or 4g the wheel starts rotating and it continues with no result. Usually I force-quit the app store. Same thing when I try to download a previously purchased app...I haven't tried purchasing a new app.



I end up just going to itunes to sync and update. I also get the issue of the app store badge still showing even when all apps are updated through iTunes. 8.1 has not seemed to solve the issue. :confused:
