Hi all,
I've searched for this question, but haven't found an answer. My apologies if it has been asked before.
Here is what I am trying to accomplish. I want to take songs from my library that are part of other albums and use them to compile a compilation album. I want that album to in fact be an album, not just a playlist. I know this means duplicate files, but I find this easier to organize across multiple apple/non-apple devices.
I used to be able to accomplish this by copying the songs into a folder, re-importing them, searching for the recently added tracks, then editing the album info. I find now that when I try to add the files iTunes won't add them, I suppose it is assuming they already exist and it prevent duplication?
Help?
