Access Privileges Message When Downloading mp3

So I'm trying to send an mp3 to a DJ so they can be played at an event coming up. I emailed the files to myself to see if they were ok to send. Opened them with iTunes but got the message "Attempting to copy to Macintosh HD failed......you do not have enough access privileges." Is this a problem with iTunes or my file? File permission says it is read and write by me and everyone. Help!?
