stuttering itunes

Best wishes to all!



Hoping for help with an iTunes issue.

I placed the same posting in Apple Support, lots of views, but no help!



Using the library and making playlists is fine.



The problem begins when I visit the music store to make purchases.



I can launch iTunes, click to visit the store, and perform a search for a title.



Then the trouble begins!!



When I click on a tune to play a preview, the music begins, but I can no longer pause the music, scroll up and down, or re-order by name, artist, etc.



The whole thing freezes!



Sometimes it releases again for a few seconds but after a few stutters, I end up going to Windows Task Manager, shutting down iTunes,

and relaunching, only to go through the same grief again!



Don't know where to look, to fix it.



I know it's not an internet connection problem because the preview continues to play.



Is it Windows, iTunes, my stupid Creative SoundBlaster card, or God punishing me for being such a bad boy?



Any advice or suggestions very gratefully accepted.
