Hello all. I've got an original iPod (original 2001, scroll wheel) which I'd like to update to the 1.5. I've got an '07 iMac with firewire and a MacBook Air (2010). I acquired it via from the previous owner and had success in sucking all of the tracks from said owner onto my iMac, but since that time this iPod strangely is not recognizable to that particular Mac. Not a problem, as it's recognizable to all others I have in my retro 'stable.' Except that ~ I can't upgrade the damn thing to the iPod 1.5 software, nor use it with my main library - on previously stated iMac.
Non of this is a huge deal, except I'm a bit of a purist - in that I'd like to have this original iPod updated to the latest software and useable.
ANY help any of you might have... I'm definitely listening!
michael.
