iTunes skipping/stuttering playback when browsing Chrome

It seems whenever I've got iTunes open playing in the background while I browse the web on Chrome, if I click a link or something the song always skips or stutters for a second. I can't recall if using IE produces the same effect.



Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, found a fix?
