I have a 160gb classic. I've had no problems with it until recently. The battery was dead and when I charged it, I also went to the new iTunes on my pc and I THINK I may have upgraded the software of the device but not sure. Its version 2.0.4
Anyway, it was not being recognized properly so decided to do a factory reset. I loaded some stuff and it's showing that there is less space available but it's still showing no music and the files are all shown as "other"...There is basically nothing on there. Is this a software or hardware conflict? Any idea about what version of software I should be running?
What is the best way to wipe this completely clean and start from scratch?
