I upgraded to iTunes 11 when it was released last November, but I had to revert back to 10.7 when I discovered that '11 lacked the function of shuffling playlists. This lack basically made iTunes 11 unfit for purpose as far as I was concerned, because I use it so much.
(And it was a real pain reverting to the older version on Mountain Lion, which really doesn't like you doing it!)
I'm wondering, does anyone know if any of the subsequent sub-versions of '11 reinstated this particular function? I don't know myself, of course, because I'm still running 10.7.
I'd really like to upgrade my OS X to Mavericks, and I can't do that if I'm forced to have iTunes 11 without the playlist shuffle.
