So I have an iPod 4th generation. Bought it from Walmart a couple years ago.
Over time, the power button completely stopped working (its permanently stuck now) and the home button works in 1/10 presses (you have to press REALLY hard to get it to work). I used assistive touch most of the time.
Recently, i got the error - "Charging is not supported by this accessory" when I hooked it up to the charger. I've tried 3 different chargers, plus an iPod/iPhone dock and it didn't work in any of them. It would show the charging symbol for a second and then it would go away and show the error.
Now, it simply won't turn on. The power button is broken, so I can't try it out. If I hook it up to my PC, it won't even detect the iPod. What should I do???
I don't really want to pay $100 for iPod repair because that would be a waste of $$, I'd might as well buy a new iPod.
