"Do Not Disconnect"

I had my Ipod (original 30GB model) connected to my PC and working with iTunes when I ran into trouble with the PC. I had to shut down the PC and to remove the iPod, despite the warning “Do Not Disconect” on the iPod. The iPod is now out of power.



I am about to recharge it using the power cord. Is there anything else I need to do to restore it to operation? What damage might I have done by disconnecting it the way I did?
