Brand new with this iPod thing.
Got it set up for mail and it has received all my mail from my yahoo account.
But it will not send any mail.
Tells me:
connection to outgoing server 'apple dot smtp dot mail dot yahoo dot com' failed. additional servers... etc...
I have it configured with outgoing mail server : smtp dot mail dot yahoo dot com and incoming mail server: imap do mail dot yahoo dot com
So the IMAP is working alright it looks like to me, because I get mail.
But the outgoing server setup is according to the instructions on the page that instructed me for setting up IMAP. It's all configured according to it.
I set up a second outgoing mail server with the same address but using port 25 after reading web posts about this kind of hassle where that fixed it. But it hasn't worked for me.
The system gives me no indication that it has tried to use this second server and instead tells me it is using a server with 'apple' preceding the address. Is that usual, it always does that but the config is okay?
Can anyone help?
