Is buying a I-Pod from Best Buy the same as buying from Apple's online store?

I bought an I-pod touch from Best Buy with all the exact features and look ( a silver with white face) as the one on the online Apple store. Now, I am wondering if I made a mistake. My son seems to think so. Even though they are identical ( I got help from a clerk) and only saved maybe 10 dollars. My son seems to think there is something otherwise special about buying it directly from the online Apple store. I did not wish to purchase any extra insurance on it from either store. He thinks that the other stores such as Best Buy might leave some details, applications, or accessories out of the product therefore making the product I bought at Best Buy not the EXACT product as the one shown on the Apple online store website. ( Even though it said it has all the same things, I made sure of it) Is this true? Should I return it and get one online even though this product is clearly a Apple I-Pod tough, 32 GB, 5th generation for $295.00. And I really don't want to drive 2 hours where I bought it from and spend the day returning and then having to buy it again if it's not necessary. Especially when Christmas is right around the corner. Help please?

Thank you, Ellen
